I hate micromanagement. Here’s what I do to avoid it.

Quote

Without trust, we truly don’t collaborate; we merely coordinate or, at best, cooperate. It is trust that transforms a group of people into a team.
— Stephen M.R. Covey

As a project manager, grants consultant, adult, dog mom, and just a person trying to find some balance throughout her life, I’m always searching for ways to enhance my productivity.

With that, I typically utilize the same tactics and apps to organize my life and work.

Today, we’re going to dive into some of the productivity tools that I use on a daily basis and how I use them to make life-work balance a reality.

Let’s get right to it. [click the image below].

Resource: SparkType

As mentioned in the video above, this tool — introduced to me by the president of my company — allowed my coworkers and me first to discover our work styles individually and then discover how we all go together and work collectively.

SparkType is an assessment that acts as “ the source code level driver of work that makes you come alive. They are the imprints or affinities - those intrinsic impulses to do the work that we feel called to do for no other reason than the feeling it gives us.”

In other words, it’s amazing tool for you and others to discover how you all work to create a better and more productive environment, and how does how you would coordinate with the rest of your team.
